Hi guys!!!

Also this time nothing recipe, I will make up for with the holliday of Christmas.

Where we live we very often do not snow.
But yesterday evening has made a snowed small.
The beautifulst gift that could receive my daughter.

JELLY OF RED (FRAGOLINO) WINE ( gelatina di vino fragolino)

Hi guys!!!

Today I will cook a jelly…. a wine jelly, in this recipe the wine is fragolino ( This wine has a strong flavor of Strawberry).

You can use all wine, you can use the wine you usually drink with a particular dish and made the jelly for the dish.

EAT THE WINE !

This jelly pairs perfectly with cheese or white meats like chicken or Turkey.

This jelly is not alcohol.

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams of sugar
  • 2 cloves
  • grated orange peel
  • 750 ml of wine ( 1 bottle)
  • 1 sachet of gelling to made jelly

Preparation:

Grated 1 orange peel.

Put the wine in a pot.

Put the grated orange peel and the cloves in the wine.

Bring to boiling for 5 minutes.

Stop the fire and you leave to cool.

when the wine is cold you filter the spices.

Now add the sugar and the sachet of gelling.

Bring to boiling for 5 minutes and continually mix.

Now stop the fire put the wine hot in the vase of glass close with the cork and turn upside-down up to complete cooling. ( this creates the vacuum  to preserve the jelly).

This is the jelly when is ready for eat.

Barb Kiebel author of the amazing blog Creative Culinary who I am sure you know of, has taken the bull by the horns and is calling all food bloggers to unite to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.  Barb lives in Denver and I am sure has been watching the news unfold, the scenes are heart wrenching. I live in Brooklyn, NY and made it through the storm with only minimal damage in my neighborhood, we were lucky, others were not. The scenes of devastation will tear your heart out, at least they do mine. Some lost their lives, those lucky enough to make it through the storm are homeless and their precious possessions gone.

CALZONE WITH italian SAUSAGE CHEESE AND RED ONION OF TROPEA

 

Hi guys!!!

Today I will cook a Calzone…. calzone is a special Neapolitan pizza roll.

ingredients:

  • For the dough look my old post “pizza Margherita”
  • 2 sausage
  • 200 grams of cheese
  • 1 mozzarella
  • some potatoes rosted
  • 2 red onions of  Tropea.

Today for lunch I have cook an italian sausage with potatoes, It has advanced quite a bit and I’m going to use as stuffing.

For made the calzone dough look my old post pizza Margherita.

In the meantime chopped the onion, put the onion in a  frying pan with hot olive oil,  when the onion is brown stop the fire.

Now you spread the pizza dough.

Now put in the dough the sausage, the onion, the potatoes, the cheese and mozzarella.

Now we made the Calzone you fold in half and put on the calzone the cheese.

Put into the oven to 250 degrees Celsius for 15/18 minutes.

Put in a dish and serve in table.

POTATOES PIE pasticcio di patate

Hi guys!!!

Today I will cook a pie…..     a potatoes pie!!!

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 1 kg (2,2 lb) of potatoes
  • 500 ml ( 1,06pt) of bechamel
  • 2 mozzarella
  • 100 grams (0,22lb) of cheese
  • Grana Padano

Preparation:

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices.

Noe put the slices of potatoes in an oiled baking tray.

Now cover with bechamel sauce and put 1 mozzarella and half cheese.

Now repeat the operation and cover with Grana Padano.

Now put in the oven at 200 degrees for about 40/50 minutes.

When the potatoes pie is ready ( when a beautiful crust is formed above) ,you take the
baking-pan out from the oven.

 

Now put this in a dish and serve.
